Male to female ratio of 3:1

Mostly asymptomatic

Cough

Fever (with postobstructive pneumonia)

Hemoptysis (rare)

2/3 are peripheral

Endobronchial in 10%

Rarely multiple

Round, smooth mass

Increase in size slowly

Fat in 50%

Detected by CT

Calcification in 15%

Pathognomonic if popcorn type

Cavitation extremely rare

Hamartoma-contains both fat and calcium

Hamartoma - “Popcorn”calcifications

Hamartoma – Smoothly marginated masscontaining both calcifications and fat
